PS 201 Q, STEAM Magnet School

🎨✨ P.S. 201 proudly unveiled its beautiful new mural, made possible through the support of QCA Network and Assembly Member Sam Berger!

The unveiling celebration brought together community leaders, including Costa Constantinides, Susan Agin (Executive Director of QCA Network), Principal Simpson, PTA representatives, district leadership, and, most importantly, our students.

This project was truly student-driven. After reviewing several artist proposals, our students selected the inspiring design created by artist Oleksandra Korolenko. The finished mural encourages imagination, creativity, and exploration while bringing vibrant color and joy to our school community.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this project a reality. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and see this magical work of art for yourself!

The taught us all about Bernoulli’s Principle. Bernoulli’s principle states that as the speed of a moving fluid (liquid or gas) increases, its pressure decreases, and vice-versa. This principle explains lift on aircraft wings, fluid flow in pipes, and the Venturi effect. We had lots of fun exploring this concept by creating funnels to make a ping pong ball levitate!
