π―π΅ Ambassador Katahira visited Villanova University with members of the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP) and met with President Fr. Peter Donohue, an expert on Japanese Kabuki theater. We also thank Hannah, a Villanova student, for her kind tour of the beautiful campus.

β Ambassador Katahira welcomed guests from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Foundation and its supporters to his residence, where he delivered remarks alongside the Foundation's Chair, Mr. Takeshi Ueshima, and the Executive Director, Mrs. Ginger Choy.
π Dr. Yuko Kakazu, astrophysicist and OIST Foundation Education Ambassador originally from Okinawa, spoke about her connection to OIST and the importance of international exchange and encouraging women to pursue STEM careers. Organized by the OIST Foundation, the event provided an opportunity to expand OISTβs network with leaders in STEM fields and beyond in New York.
