Great meeting with the League of Conservation Voters on Capitol Hill this week. As the Trump Administration rolls back affordable clean energy, utility bills keep rising for families nationwide.
I’m pushing legislation to cut costs by supporting households, restoring clean energy tax credits, removing barriers to renewable energy projects, stopping excessive rate hikes, and more. Republicans should join us before prices climb even higher.

Thank you to Phil Wong for keeping a light shined on this planned battery facility in Middle Village. I continue to call for it to be in a commercial or industrial area instead of across from a school, daycare center and residential homes.

Republicans passed a reconciliation bill that wrote a blank check for ICE and CBP for the next two years, removing long-standing safeguards like bans on shackling pregnant women and protections for people who experience sexual assault in custody.
Democrats are fighting to hold ICE agents to the same standards that all local and state law enforcement are already held to, but our colleagues across the aisle have abandoned even the most basic oversight.

I introduced the Protecting Human Rights and Public Health in Foreign Assistance Act to repeal it. Taxpayer dollars should protect health and human rights—not political agendas.
