TIME to celebrate our President & CEO Terrence Meck! Yesterday at our all staff meeting we were thrilled to recognize and celebrate Terrence for his being named to the 2026 TIME100 Most Influential People in Philanthropy list. How'd we do it? With cake and smiles, of course! Congratulations, and thank you for all you do, Terrence!

Since our founding more than forty years ago, we've always known that food is love. And that food is *medicine*.

In wonderful news, The American Medical Association (AMA) is now in full agreement, having formally advanced “food is medicine” as a core strategy to improve chronic disease outcomes, reduce health disparities, and lower healthcare costs.

At its 2026 Annual Meeting, the AMA specifically recognized interventions like medically tailored meals, medically tailored groceries, and produce prescriptions as evidence-informed approaches that can meaningfully improve health. We are so proud that our low-cost, high-impact intervention has been acknowledged as such a significant part of the healthcare system and such a life-saving tool in Americans' lives.

God's Love We Deliver is so proud to have been a leader in the "food is medicine" movement that has been building for years. From research and evaluation to advocacy at the local, state, and national levels, we have demonstrated that our medically tailored meals and comprehensive nutrition care lower healthcare costs, improve patient satisfaction and, ultimately, change and save lives.

This announcement from the AMA makes clear that:
👉 Nutrition must be integrated into healthcare delivery
👉 Food insecurity must be addressed as a health issue
👉 And “food is medicine” belongs at the center of how we treat and prevent disease

We’re thrilled to announce Eric Rochman, MPH as Chief Operating Officer at God’s Love We Deliver. A seasoned healthcare strategy and operations leader, Eric brings over 16 years of experience working across the healthcare continuum, from direct service providers to acute and post‑acute care, insurance, and health tech.
 
As COO, Eric oversees Operations and Strategy & Innovation, uniting the core functions that power our mission with the strategic vision that drives our future. His portfolio includes Culinary Operations, Inventory, Fulfillment, Delivery, Strategic Operations, Research & Evaluation, Policy & Advocacy, and Information Technology & Digital Solutions. Before stepping into this role, he served as our Strategy & Growth Officer and was the first employee in our Strategy & Growth department.
 
Before joining God’s Love, Eric founded Healthcare Innovations Consulting, advising organizations on operational excellence, strategic planning, project design, data analytics, and technology implementation. He also served as AVP of Strategy and Innovation at VillageCare, a nonprofit Managed Care Insurance and Senior Services organization. His career is built on a deep commitment to improving health outcomes and strengthening systems of care.
 
Eric holds a Master’s in Public Health from NYU, an advanced certificate in Public Health Disaster Science, and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University at Buffalo. He also served nearly four years in the Peace Corps in Paraguay. A proud New Yorker, Eric lives in the Bronx with his husband, Joe.

That’s a wrap on the first annual FIMCON (Food is Medicine Conference) 2026! FIMCON is a new national conference uniting the Food is Medicine ecosystem—healthcare professionals, FIM practitioners, program participants, researchers, policymakers, community leaders, and funders.

God’s Love We Deliver came out in full force with President & CEO Terrence Meck, Chief Operating Officer Eric Rochman, Vice President of Business Development Allyson Schiff, Director of Nutrition Services Lisa Zullig, and Director of Research and Evaluation Kelly Naranjo in attendance. Dorella Walters, our Chief Program Development Officer represented God’s Love at the panel Food is More than Medicine: Nourishing Food Systems, Ecosystems, and Economies.

God’s Love We Deliver is so proud to be a leader in the Food Is Medicine movement and to be among leaders who are advancing nutrition-based care, from medically tailored meals to produce prescriptions.

Our hearts are full in the Hudson Valley 💙 On Saturday, we held our first-ever Hudson Valley event to raise awareness and funds for our work. Thanks to the vision and leadership of Board member Pedro L. Rodriguez, the night brought together supporters and new friends at Padrona in Hudson, NY to celebrate and learn more about our mission.

God's Love has begun serving Columbia County thanks to our participation in the 1115 Medicaid Waiver. The Waiver is is expanding access to nutrition services across the state and Joe Ferris, the Mayor of Hudson, joined us to speak about how these services are making a difference to his constituents and neighbors.

This is just the beginning for God’s Love We Deliver in the Hudson Valley, and we're excited for what's ahead. Join us!
