We are proud to honor three remarkable champions whose dedication has helped individuals with developmental disabilities thrive and flourish.

Legacy Award Honoree: The Weiss Family
Beatrice and Natalie Weiss have been steadfast supporters of Mercy Home for many years. As the mother and twin sister of one of our residents, their commitment extends far beyond philanthropy through the generous sharing of their time, talents, and unwavering advocacy.

Community Partner Honoree: StationMD
Under the leadership of Dr. Matthew Kaufman, StationMD has transformed healthcare access for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, helping to ensure compassionate, quality care when it matters most.

Individual of the Year: Tracey King
Since joining Mercy Home’s Saturday Respite Program in 2018, Tracey has inspired all who know her through her kindness, determination, and willingness to help others. We have had the privilege of witnessing her growth over the years, culminating in her recent move into her own apartment at Kay’s Place, where she continues to thrive as an active and valued member of her community.

Mercy Home for Children presents our...

2026 Spring Soiree 'Blooms of Belonging' Fundraiser!
At Mercy Home, we hold a quiet, steadfast belief: that growth is not simply something we witness, but something we cultivate together. On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 5:30pm, that spirit will blossom in full at our “Blooms of Belonging” Gala at Industry City 5-2-A, an evening where purpose takes root and possibility unfolds.
Proceeds from this year’s Gala will sustain and expand our Horticultural Therapy Program; one of Mercy Home’s signature initiatives. Though not funded through traditional channels, its impact resonates deeply. Within gardens carefully tended, the individuals we serve discover renewal, connection, and the quiet confidence that comes from growth. With your support, we can deepen this work, cultivating both wellness and the life skills that carry forward our promise of Life Skills for Lifelong Living.

In a city that moves with urgency, there are also spaces where growth unfolds gently—where healing is nurtured, and where belonging takes root. At Mercy Home for Children, we are honored to cultivate such spaces every day for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Guided by our mission to empower each person to live with dignity, independence, and purpose, Mercy Home provides compassionate, person-centered residential and community-based services across New York. Through innovative programs like horticultural therapy, we are creating pathways for self-expression, wellness, and connection—transforming gardens into sanctuaries of growth, both seen and unseen.

We are in our final stretch...7 days away! On Thursday, June 18, 2026, we will gather for our Blooms of Belonging Spring Benefit Soirée; an evening that will bring together corporate and civic leaders, elected officials, and friends of Mercy to celebrate the continuity and expansion of this deeply impactful work.

Horticultural therapy is more than planting seeds; it is about cultivating confidence, fostering emotional well-being, and creating equitable opportunities for individuals of all abilities to thrive. Proceeds from this event will directly support the expansion of these services, ensuring that more individuals can experience the restorative power of nature and community.

We invite you to stand with us as a partner in this mission https://mercyhomeny.networkforgood.com/events/98358-blooms-of-belonging-spring-benefit-soiree.
