Summer is too schvitzy for walking, but it's the perfect season to explore nature inspired fashion! On Sunday, July 12th, we will meet in the park for a picnic and circle up. After that we'll head to the Brooklyn Museum to see a Gender and Species bending exhibit inspired by physics, dance, marine biology and more! Attendees can get a ticket that covers entry to both the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens for the day. We are excited to be inspired with you! This event is for ages 13–23 who identify as Trans+ or are curious about gender and/or the natural world. Not sure if this describes you? Come hang out and see what it's about—we’d love to have you join us.

“At JQY, I have seen what’s possible when people are welcomed in their entirety. I have watched young people discover they don’t need to hide pieces of themselves to belong. I have seen conversations happen across differences in politics, religious observance, and personal experience. I have seen people find community where they once expected rejection.
That is what allyship makes possible.”

This week’s parsha contains one of the Torah’s most famous arguments. In the middle of challenging Moshe and Aaron, Korach says something surprisingly beautiful: “The entire community is holy.”
Now, we don’t quite remember Korach as a hero. But even people who are wrong can sometimes say something true. And this part is true.
Belonging isn’t something you earn by having the “right” opinions, fitting someone else’s expectations, dressing a certain way, or becoming the version of yourself that makes other people most comfortable.
Every person carries dignity, worth, and holiness simply because they are human.
The challenge isn’t deciding who belongs. The challenge is building communities that act like everyone already does.
