Certified Senior Business Advisor Joe Bottega recently visited his client Dorcas Meyers, President of Roc-A-Natural Cultural Foundation, Inc. at the Annual Arts in the Park event at Tappen Park, a free family-friendly celebration that brought together the Staten Island community through art, music, and culture.

Made possible through a Citizens NYC Grant, the event helped showcase the diverse talents of local artists, musicians, vendors, and community organizations while promoting beauty, unity, and community engagement in Tappen Park.

The Staten Island Small Business Development Center was proud to partner with Richmond County District Attorney McMichael E. McMahon and Mid-Island Council Member David Carr to host a free paper shredding event on May 31 at the College of Staten Island.

Regional Director Michael Anderson joined members of the District Attorney's and Council Member's teams to help keep the event running smoothly, while Certified Business Advisor Joe Muller and Office Manager Angela Chuppe connected with community members to share information about the no-cost business counseling and resources available through the SI SBDC.

The event drew 160 vehicles and provided residents with a convenient way to securely dispose of sensitive documents. By the end of the day, an impressive 3.69 tons of paper had been shredded! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this community event a success. 📄♻️

Our Regional Director, Michael Anderson, attended the annual event in Manhattan to review and meet with various liaisons. And, of course, he had to stop to say hello to our friends Leslie Rivera and Ryan Loguirato from the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce at the designated Staten Island Networking Corner.
