Australia at The Met is here.

Tonight celebrates the first dedicated display of contemporary First Nations Australian art at The Met and the remarkable Australians helping shape our world.

Stay tuned.

Australia’s Ambassador for First Nations People, Mr Justin Mohamed recently visited the renovated Oceanic Wing to view Nonggirrnga Marawili’s extraordinary work.

We are deeply proud to be part of this meaningful space at The Met. It not only celebrates our deep connection with our neighbors in Oceania but also ensures contemporary First Nations art has a permanent home within these prestigious gallery walls.
