The RadNet filter may be brown, but the air quality index is yellow, ehem…moderate, 🤧likely caused by the Sahara dust carried into the Caribbean 🏝️

Check the daily Air Quality Index (AQI) for the Cataño Air Monitoring Station, published by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources on its website and on AirNow. The AQI explains current air quality and includes information for sensitive groups.

Stay informed and visit AirNow.gov for more resources! 📲

The photo is for awareness and shows what the filter captured; it is not a health assessment.

🚧 What’s happening at the Lehigh Valley Railroad Superfund site?

Cleanup work is moving forward near Gulf Road in LeRoy, New York.

This spring and summer, crews will remove old piping, collect more soil samples and prepare for additional removal of soil contaminated with TCE from the former spill area.

During the work, crews will monitor the air for dust and site contaminants. Contaminated material will be sent to an approved off-site disposal facility, and a soil cover will be placed over the area when the work is complete.

The work will continue in stages into fall 2026 under EPA oversight.
