The Community Impact Policy Institute's recent report explored how AI investment can strengthen prevention and boost public health outcomes.
Preventative care has historically delivered some of the highest returns in health investment, yet capital flowing into health AI is largely missing this opportunity. Current analyses find that less than 1% of health AI funding goes toward prevention and public health.
CIPI's report outlines eight recommendations for building an investment case aimed at the actors that could influence the direction of health AI. Closing this gap between AI investment and prevention could have an major impact on public health outcomes.

Fedcap's Community Impact Policy Institute today released a white paper presenting a strategic framework for how AI can transform prevention, strengthen public health systems, and improve population health outcomes.
Dr. Jay K. Varma argues that AI has the potential to become one of the most important public health innovations of the 21st century if applied not only to treating disease, but also to preventing it.
The report examines what Dr. Varma describes as a "critical imbalance" in how AI is currently being deployed across the health sector, and offers recommendations aimed at accelerating the responsible use of AI in prevention and public health.

Fedcap believes that quality education is one of the most direct pathways to economic and social mobility, from early childhood through adulthood.
That’s why Fedcap is pleased to share that in the first half of FY26, we served 4,323 students — an increase of 27% from the first half of FY25. Each of these students represents a life transformed through our affiliates’ customized educational programs.
The growth in our educational practice is driven by new organic programming from Fedcap’s long-standing affiliates, whose customized programs continue to meet students where they are and move them toward independence. Our recent international expansions are also strengthening this work by broadening the network and deepening the evidence base that drives strong educational outcomes.
