🇵🇹 Conheça a Miss Farmingville 2026! 👑

É com muito orgulho que apresentamos Tatyana Sousa, Miss Farmingville 2026, que irá representar o nosso Clube no próximo concurso Miss Luso-Americana, em setembro.

Tatyana tem 18 anos e nasceu em Long Island. É filha de Gina e Vasco Sousa, ambos naturais de São Martinho do Porto, Portugal.

Tatyana graduou recentemente da Sachem East High School, em Farmingville, e irá frequentar o Suffolk County Community College, onde vai estudar Ciências da Saúde, com o objetivo de se tornar técnica de ecografia.

Nos seus tempos livres, gosta de trabalhar no Crazy Crepe e de passar tempo com o seu sobrinho.

Desejamos à Tatyana muito sucesso nesta experiência especial, enquanto representa o nosso Clube, a nossa cultura e a comunidade portuguesa com orgulho.

🇺🇸 Meet Miss Farmingville 2026 👑

We are proud to introduce Tatyana Sousa Miss Farmingville, who will be representing our Club at the upcoming Miss Luso-Americana Pageant in September.

Tatyana is 18 years old and was born on Long Island. She is the daughter of Gina and Vasco Sousa, both originally from São Martinho do Porto, Portugal. Tatyana recently graduated from Sachem East High School in Farmingville and will be attending Suffolk County Community College to study Health Sciences, with the goal of becoming an ultrasound technician. In her free time, she enjoys working at Crazy Crepe and spending time with her nephew.

NYPALC Board Member Eloise Portal recently took part in the PALCUS Heritage Portugal Program, a unique opportunity to explore Portugal’s past, present, and future through educational visits, cultural experiences, and visiting various landmarks.

From universities and museums to local government, financial institutions, and Portugal’s cork industry, the program provided a deeper understanding of the country’s rich heritage and continued innovation. Programs like this empower younger generations to strengthen their connection to Portuguese culture while gaining valuable insight into Portugal’s role in the world today. 🇵🇹

🇵🇹 Portugal Day in Yonkers: Raising the Portuguese Flag 🇵🇹

NYPALC was honored to participate in the Portuguese Flag Raising Ceremony at Yonkers City Hall as part of the celebrations for Portugal Day.

The ceremony brought together elected officials, community leaders, and members of the Portuguese community to celebrate the richness of our cultural heritage and recognize the many contributions of Portuguese and Portuguese Americans throughout the region.

We thank the City of Yonkers and everyone who joined us for this meaningful celebration of Portuguese pride, tradition, and identity.

A NYPALC teve a honra de participar na cerimónia de hastear da Bandeira de Portugal na Câmara Municipal de Yonkers, integrada nas celebrações do Dia de Portugal.

A cerimónia reuniu representantes eleitos, líderes comunitários e membros da comunidade portuguesa para assinalar a riqueza da nossa herança cultural e reconhecer as importantes contribuições dos portugueses e luso-americanos para a região.
