I know Summer Break has begun but I wanted to finish a couple of more recaps to make sure our community is aware of all the wonderful events happening at our school…
In mid May, Topeka hosted it’s first Career Day!
Members of our community joined us throughout the day to speak with our students about their careers...we had a registered nurses, LAPD, LAFD, attorneys, museum manager, a martial arts instructor, a video game producer, business owners, a paper artist, a news anchor, and a medical dosimetrist and radiation therapist.
All students participated, from TK through 5th Grade, they loved it and had great questions! We all learned a lot that day. 🧡🐯

🏆 WE WON! 🏆
We are absolutely thrilled to share that at the North West Valley Council PTSA’s award dinner earlier this week, Topeka Drive PTA received the Unit of the Year award at the elementary school level! 🎉
This amazing honor is awarded to a PTA unit that demonstrates outstanding teamwork, leadership, programs, family engagement, and commitment throughout the year. We love fundraising and working hard for the betterment of our incredible Topeka students!
Behind every great organization is a wonderful leader, and we want to give a massive shoutout to our President for the past two years, Melina Ray! 🌟 Melina’s constant smile, positive attitude, and dedication have supported all of our committees and events. Topeka has a strong PTA legacy, and Melina’s hard work is sure to benefit our school community for years to come!
Thank you to our amazing volunteers, parents, and staff who make this all possible. Go Topeka! 🦅✨

Earlier this month Topeka held its first Multicultural Day celebration. Families from our Topeka community hosted booths from around the world and students went around getting their souvenir passports stamped at each “country”.
We learned about customs, celebrations, foods, history, geography, music…a wonderful afternoon was had by all.
