If you’ve ever crossed the Route 50 Bridge into Ocean City, there’s a good chance you’ve seen this home.
Our Excellent Redevelopment Project Award goes to John & Lillian Vincent for the remarkable transformation of 211 Caroline Street, with Resort Homes bringing the vision to life.
Rebuilt completely from the ground up, this project managed to preserve the quintessential look and feel of classic downtown Ocean City while preparing the home for the realities of living near the water. Elevated to better withstand the flooding we sometimes see downtown and finished with beautiful cedar siding, it’s the kind of project that respects the past without getting stuck in it.
This is the future of redevelopment done right.

Memorial Day weekend is usually when Ocean City comes alive again. The Boardwalk fills up. Families return. Traditions pick back up where they left off.
In the middle of a busy weekend, today asks us to slow down for a moment and remember the people who sacrificed everything for this country. 🇺🇸

The OCDC summer lineup is almost back. ☀️🏁🎸
Classic cars rolling into Somerset Plaza. Live music taking over Sunset Park. Warm nights downtown with no real reason to head home early.
Bring a chair. Walk the boards. Listen to the music. Stare at the cars a little too long.
Save the dates. We’ll see you downtown

Some people wait for the neighborhood to improve. Others help lead the way.
Our next Excellence in Facade Improvement Award goes to Craig and Ellen Brown for their home at 306 4th Street.
Not to be outdone by the beautiful new park across the street, Craig took this project on himself, replacing the siding and giving the home a fresh new life while keeping the classic downtown Ocean City character intact.
Partially funded through an OCDC facade improvement grant, projects like this show how small investments can make a big impact in preserving the charm and character of downtown Ocean City.

The kind of Ocean City charm you can’t recreate.
A few weeks ago, we handed out our 2026 awards, and over the coming days we’ll be spotlighting the people investing in the future of downtown Ocean City.
First up, our Excellence in Facade Improvement Award goes to Carla Fletcher Johnson for the stunning transformation at 3 8th Street, brought to life by Beechwood, Inc.
Projects like this preserve the timeless character of Ocean City’s older downtown neighborhoods while proving these homes still have plenty of story left to tell.

OCDC After Dark brought a crowd to Ocean City’s newest hidden oasis last night. 🌙🍸
The Hump inside The Dough Roller Restaurants (S. Division St location) was packed wall-to-wall with locals, business owners, community leaders, and plenty of people people discovering one of downtown’s coolest new spaces for the first time.
From the star-lit ceiling to the speakeasy-style atmosphere, Kevin has created something special for downtown Ocean City. Huge thanks to everyone who came out, made connections, supported local, and helped turn a Wednesday night into one of the best networking events we’ve had yet.
If you haven’t seen The Hump OCMD yet…trust us. You need to. 🐪✨
