Thank you to Bridgepoint Investment Banking for spending part of your day with us at Outlook!

Before hosting their team meeting in our conference space, the group toured our facility and learned more about our history and mission.

The visit concluded with an immersive lunch experience. 🍽️ Guests partnered up, with one person wearing vision immersion goggles while the other served as a guide, providing an opportunity to learn about sighted guide techniques and blindness etiquette. Everyone then enjoyed lunch while wearing sleep shades, offering a new perspective on the adaptations and techniques individuals who are blind or visually impaired may use to navigate everyday tasks.

Let’s talk about alt text.

Alt text is a short written description of an image that helps people using screen readers understand what’s being shown. It’s a simple step that makes digital content more accessible for people who are blind, low vision or visually impaired.

When writing alt text, be clear and specific about what matters in the image, no need to overthink it.

Example:
Instead of “people in a room,” try:
“Three people seated at a table during a workshop, looking at a presentation screen.”

Small detail. Big impact. That’s .

Meet Marisa and Brad ⛳

The Stanley M. Truhlsen Jr. Blind Golfers Clinic brings together people with all levels of golf experience, and Brad and Marisa are great examples of that.

While their experiences with golf may have started in different places, both have embraced the challenge, developed new skills, and shown what is possible with a little practice and support.

We were grateful to have Brad and Marisa represent the Blind Golfers Clinic at this year's tournament. You both crushed it out there!

Changing Lives Through Blind Golf with Steve Blaskovich 06/15/2026

We are fortunate to have such an incredible lead volunteer for our Stanley M. Truhlsen, Jr. Blind Golfers Clinic. Driven by his belief in our mission, Steve Blaskovich has become more than a volunteer; he is a passionate mentor, advocate, sponsor, and now board member at Outlook Nebraska, continuing to make a meaningful impact on individuals living with vision loss. 🌟

Since March, Steve has spent countless hours supporting clinic participants during weekly sessions, offering instruction and encouragement as they build confidence in their game.

In this interview, Steve shares the impact this program has had on him and the inspiration he’s witnessed among participants throughout the clinic experience.

Please join us in welcoming Dave Fulton to the Outlook Enrichment Board of Directors!

When asked what inspired him to join our board, Dave shared, "I had a neighbor growing up in Des Moines who was blind. She amazed me with the things she did for herself and her spirit to constantly figure it out." After learning more about Outlook's mission and the impact of our programs and services, Dave was eager to get involved. 🌟

Ken Coffman spent much of his life navigating vision loss on his own. After finding Outlook Enrichment, he began building the skills and confidence to live more independently, and his determination has been truly inspiring to witness.

Stories like Ken’s are a powerful reminder of how life-changing accessible training, community support, and opportunity can be for individuals experiencing vision loss. Without the support behind Outlook Enrichment, journeys like Ken’s wouldn’t be possible.

We are incredibly proud of Ken and honored to be part of his journey. Watch the full interview here: https://hubs.li/Q04g-k9g0
