Mosaic in Omaha

We had another great Across the Floor day with Ms. Pam and WhyArts Inc.!

It was a review day for a few of our new dances including the samba and salsa. 💃

Twenty-seven years ago today, the United States Supreme Court affirmed in the landmark Olmstead decision that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities belong in their communities—not isolated in unsafe institutions. Olmstead was not the end of the fight for people’s rights, but was one step in a social movement to protect the rights of people with disabilities. A movement that Mosaic has been a part of for over 113 years.

Last Friday, we had another great workshop with R.E.S.P.E.C.T..

We talked about boundaries, both physical and emotional and how we can make sure that we are being respectful of ourselves and others.

This week, we had another great Mosaic in Omaha Ambassador meeting, filled with fellowship, connection and friendship bracelets.

We had a great cooking class with Adaptive Crossroads and St. Patrick's Parish - Elkhorn, NE on Wednesday!

We had a chance to practice our knife skills by cutting fruits, veggies, cheese and chicken.

The best part - getting to sample our hard work!

Mosaic was one of eight nonprofits selected to participate in Flying Flags for Charity at the 2026 NCAA Men’s College World Series (CWS) in Omaha, Nebraska.

On our designated day, June 15, college baseball fans from across the country gathered in Baseball Village to learn about Mosaic’s mission.
