A sincere expression of gratitude to our outstanding employees! What better way to acknowledge their commitment than with a sweet treat like ice cream?! 🍨 We appreciate their unwavering efforts, which enable us to deliver exceptional service to our residents.

DCHC celebrated National Nursing Home Week last week with several successful events. Residents enjoyed cookouts and crafts in the courtyard, a trip to the zoo, indoor bowling, and a friendly game of pool.
The weather cooperated beautifully, and everyone had a great time.

-From our Foundation-
At the Douglas County Health Center Foundation, meaningful care goes beyond medical needs. It’s the everyday moments of comfort, connection, and dignity that truly make a difference for residents.
Monthly giving through our GEM program helps support:
✨ Resident activities
✨ Daily newspapers
✨ Recliners and comfort items
✨ Staff appreciation events
✨ Special experiences that improve quality of life
Recurring gifts — no matter the size — create consistent support that allows us to continue enhancing the lives of those we serve every day.

The Douglas County Health Center is excited to partner with the Alzheimer's Association to offer two informative programs regarding Alzheimer's and dementia. These sessions will cover the differences between the two conditions, stages of the diseases, risk factors, and available resources. We will also discuss detection, the benefits of early diagnosis, and available tests and assessments and more important information.

From our Foundation -
What if $5 a month could change someone’s day… every single month?
At Douglas County Health Center Foundation, we care for people who often don’t have anyone else to lean on—seniors, vulnerable residents, and those needing long-term care and support.
It doesn’t take a big donation to make a real difference.
Just $5 a month can help provide comfort items, activities, and support that bring dignity, connection, and a better quality of life to those we serve.
Individually, $5 feels small.
Together, it becomes something powerful.
Join our $5 Monthly Giving Circle
It’s simple. It’s automatic. And it creates steady, meaningful impact all year long.
Be part of the people who show up—month after month—for those who need it most.
