What an incredible honor! 🔥🏅

We're proud to celebrate OCA athlete Cruzen Harrington and Unified Partner Trae Steele, who helped lead the Torch Lighting Ceremony for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games—a powerful moment that kicked off the games and showcased the spirit of inclusion, teamwork, and determination.

Watching Cruzen and Trae represent OCA on this national stage is a reminder of what's possible when athletes of all abilities are empowered to shine. ❤️💙

Building strength, confidence, and healthy habits 💪💙

OCA’s adult program recently spent time in the gym focusing on fitness, movement, and building stamina, an important skill that supports overall wellness and future workplace readiness. Through activities like these, participants are developing healthy routines, increasing endurance, and gaining skills that can help support success in everyday life and employment settings.

Today, we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, father figures, and caregivers who show up with unwavering love, patience, and support every day.

At OCA, we see the impact fathers make in the lives of the individuals we serve, encouraging growth, celebrating milestones, and helping build confidence every step of the way.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at OCA. 💙

Summer days are better in the sensory garden ☀️🌿

OCA participants have been enjoying time outdoors exploring, relaxing, and engaging their senses in a space designed to encourage connection, creativity, and calm. From sunshine and fresh air to hands-on sensory experiences, the garden provides meaningful opportunities for individuals to learn, play, and simply enjoy the season together.

Here’s to a summer filled with growth and unforgettable moments! 💙

Joy is even sweeter when it’s shared 💙

Our participants spent the day passing smiles, laughter, and love to some of their favorite friends and staff at OCA, and moments like these are what community is all about. From small gestures to big connections, every interaction reminds us that belonging, kindness, and joy can brighten everyone’s day ✨

For years, Ian’s family searched for a place where he would truly be seen, supported, and included. As a nonverbal adult with Angelman syndrome who requires around-the-clock care, they were often met with limitations, rejection, and programs that simply couldn’t meet his needs.

Then they found OCA.

Instead of hearing “no,” Ian and his family found a community that believed in his abilities, celebrated his individuality, and created opportunities for him to grow and contribute in meaningful ways. For Ian’s mom, OCA became more than a program, it became a partner in helping her son live a fuller, more joyful life. 💙

Every individual deserves the chance to belong, thrive, and be valued for exactly who they are. Learn more about OCA’s life-changing programs at gooca.org/programs.
