BIG SIS Inc. is proud to invite our community partners, supporters, advocates, and friends to the Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting of Shia’s House — a new transitional home for single mothers and their children through our BOOST Program. 💜

This home represents more than housing. It represents hope, stability, healing, and a fresh start for families working toward independence.

Join us as we officially open the doors and celebrate this important step in serving women and children in our community.

When moms are supported, families thrive.
Through our RECLAIM Program, we created a monthly space for justice-involved mothers to breathe — while their children participate in meaningful, structured enrichment activities led by caring staff and volunteers.

And you'll have 5 hours to do whatever you need to do.

What a blessing it is to witness the fruitfulness BIG SIS is bringing back into the community! We are honored that Sheriff Mina and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office awarded funding to organizations committed to making a real impact through mentoring, education, neighborhood safety, and community outreach.

This grant is more than funding… it’s an investment back into the people. Funds seized from criminal activity are now being poured into programs that uplift, empower, and protect our communities and BIG SIS is proud to be part of that mission.

We’re not just talking about change… we’re showing up and doing the work.

Today, we celebrate ALL mothers. 💐

The mothers who make it look easy…
The mothers who are still figuring it out…
The bonus moms, grandmothers, aunties, and mother figures…
The mothers carrying the weight of the world while still showing up every single day.

But today, we especially want to speak to the mothers doing it alone.

To the mothers who cry in silence but still keep pushing…
The ones working, sacrificing, praying, stretching meals, missing sleep, and carrying responsibilities that were never meant to be carried alone…
The mothers who keep showing up for their children even when they are exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsupported…

We see you. 💜

Your strength is unmatched.
Your love is powerful.
And even on the days when you feel unseen, your children are being shaped by your resilience, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

At BIG SIS Inc., we know motherhood is not always soft moments and picture-perfect memories. Sometimes motherhood looks like survival. Sometimes it looks like choosing to keep going when everything in you wants to give up.

And to those mothers—we honor you today.

Community Strength Motherhood

ATTENTION community baby shower attendees. It just came to our attention that a portion of the road near our building will be closed today so I wanted to give you instructions on how to get to us.

I have attached a map. The blue part is the portion of the road that is closed. The red lines indicate the direction you should go to get into the parking lot if you are coming in from off of old winter garden rd. The parking lot behind our building is free today for the attendee of our event even though the sign says eight dollars parking is free. The parking lot behind our building is the only free parking lot. Please govern yourselves accordingly.
