Today, we remember the 49 lives lost and the many others forever impacted by the Pulse nightclub tragedy on June 12, 2016.

As we honor their memory, we reflect on the strength, resilience, and unity that emerged in the face of unimaginable loss. We stand with the survivors, families, loved ones, and the LGBTQ+ community, remembering those we lost and reaffirming our commitment to compassion, inclusion, and respect for all.

May we never forget the lives taken, the heroes who responded, and the community that came together in support and healing.

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings diagnosed with cancer, suspends campaign for governor Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said Friday that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and that he will suspend his campaign for Florida governor in order to receive treatment, calling it a “difficult decision."

The Orange County Transportation Mobility Advisory Commission (TransMAC) will meet on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the City of Winter Park Community Center located at 721 West New England Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789.
