Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.
As we reflect on this important day, we are reminded that dignity, opportunity, and stability should be within reach for every person. It is also a time to acknowledge the barriers that still impact communities today and to recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in care, equity, and respect.
At the Coalition, we remain committed to serving individuals and families struggling with homelessness with compassion and care as they move toward permanent housing.

Thank you to Johnny's House for having us on today to share more about The Foundations Project and what this next chapter means for Central Florida.

Family homelessness is surging. Today, aging facilities cap services at 800 people a day. Morgan and Morgan along with the Coalition for the homeless of Central Florida have a massive project in the works. They will expand capacity to 1,160 people, 337,000 meals, and life-changing support for women and children.
The Project
The FOUNDATIONS PROJECT is a commitment to build two new facilities and restore lives—expanding services, capacity, and impact—while engaging the community to help shape Central Florida’s future.

We have an urgent need for baby wipes in our Donation Room. With babies currently on our campus, this essential item helps families provide comfort and care for their little ones.
You can help today by shopping baby wipes from our Amazon or Walmart wishlists. Items purchased from either list will be sent directly to us.

At the end of May, we had a wonderful time at Chow on Church, hosted by Downtown Orlando Partnership at Inter&Co Stadium!
It was a great opportunity to connect with organizations across our community, enjoy delicious bites from local vendors, and celebrate the people and partnerships that make Orlando such a special place to serve.
Thank you to Downtown Orlando Partnership for bringing the community together for such a great event!

June is Men’s Health Month, a month where wellness can include more than just physical health. It can also mean feeling confident, supported, and cared for.
Thank you to Jenna Ledon for visiting the Coalition this week and providing haircuts for men staying on our campus. One guest even shared how excited he was to get his haircut before an upcoming job interview.
We are grateful for community members who use their time and talents to help our guests feel seen, supported, and ready for what’s next. 💙

Community partnerships make a difference. 🤝
This week, the Coalition had the opportunity to meet with Kenneth Hughes of Keeping Projects in Motion in the heart of Parramore. 📍
Kenneth shared some exciting news: three men currently staying at our Men's Service Center are now employed through his staffing agency.
We also discussed the Coalition's vision for the future, including our new Center for Women and Families, and the impact it will have on the Parramore community and beyond.
Thank you to Nikki's Place for hosting us and for being such an important part of the Parramore neighborhood.
When local businesses, community leaders, and nonprofits come together, lives change.
