Today we honor Juneteenth and celebrate freedom, resilience, and opportunity. The PEDC office will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of the holiday.

I’m spending this week at the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) 2026 Mid-Year Conference in Plano, learning from industry leaders and connecting with colleagues from across the state. The conversations, ideas, and shared experiences are a great reminder of the important role economic development plays in building strong communities.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent Palestine and bring back new ideas for the future!
