💙 Thank you, Vanguard for investing in stronger pathways to economic opportunity across Maricopa County.

Your investment is helping bring partners together, strengthen workforce development efforts, and create more opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

Through our Pathways to Economic Opportunity initiative, we're connecting program participants to mentorship, career exploration, workforce development resources, and the support they need to build brighter futures.

Meaningful change happens when organizations come together around a shared vision for a stronger community. We're grateful to have Vanguard as a partner in this work and look forward to the impact we'll create together.

✏️ The 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is here.

The PIT Count is a snapshot of individuals and families experiencing homelessness on a single night each year. It helps communities understand needs, track trends, and strengthen the systems that provide housing, prevention, and support services.

❗This data matters - it directly informs how resources like eviction prevention, job training, utility assistance, and financial coaching are delivered across our community.

Good luck to both the USA and Paraguay as they face off in the World Cup tonight!

A special message from our President and CEO, Carla Vargas Jasa:
“Best of luck to everyone playing! We don’t know who will win - but we know everyone at Valley of the Sun United Way is part of a winning team.”

Born to Paraguayan parents, raised in California, and playing soccer growing up, Carla's story is a reminder of how connected our communities, cultures, and experiences truly are.

No matter who you're cheering for tonight, we're celebrating the power of sport to bring people together! ⚽
