The Bulwark News' Adrian Carrasquillo wrote about how AI will play a profound role in the coming elections this week, and featured MFV's innovative approach to leveraging the technology to help protect our community and our rights.

AI can be used by bad actors to suppress voters, but it can also be leveraged to push back and stand up to efforts to silence our voices.

The raids on voting rights staff and leaders are the latest example of MAGA Republicans trying to rig the rules. Ohioans won’t back down and we’re standing together to tell Trump and his MAGA cronies to keep their hands off our votes!

Plyler v. Doe protects more than access to classrooms—it helps ensure that schools remain spaces of safety, belonging, and opportunity for all children.

As highlighted in Forum Together’s explainer, the Supreme Court recognized that denying students access to education would create long-term harm not only for children, but for society as a whole. When students are pushed into fear or exclusion, entire communities feel the impact.

Protecting Plyler means protecting the future of our schools and communities.

Today, we'd like to highlight Orlando Cruz, a retired Puerto Rican professional boxer who represented his country at the 2000 Olympic Games in Australia.

He released a statement back in 2012 with the quote above (graphic) as well as “I want to let the people see who I really am, to be free, to let people understand.”

A year from its Quiceañera, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) has been weakened by the Trump Administration. Congress must act to provide permanent protection for DREAMers who were brought to the United States by their parents through no fault of their own, and many of whom are now in limbo as the Trump Administration delays renewals. They grew up here, they are contributing to their communities, they have earned statutory protection, it's time for Congress to act.

On June 15, 1982, the Supreme Court affirmed in Plyler v. Doe that all children—regardless of immigration status—have the right to access a free public education.

Exactly 44 years later, that promise remains deeply connected to whether students feel safe enough to learn. Today, we recognize the anniversary of this landmark decision and honor The Lopez Family and the families who helped make this ruling possible.

As we recognize the anniversary of Plyler v. Doe, we are reminded that protecting access to education also means protecting a student’s sense of safety, belonging, and opportunity.
