Today our dining room was filled with vibrancy, devotion, and love as we celebrated Juneteenth in partnership with Xavier Walker, a SVdP volunteer and founder of X Marks the Spot Consulting. With his support and sponsorship from the Black Philanthropy Arizona and Arizona Community Foundation, our dining room was able to be converted into a space full of celebration and meaningful conversations.
We heard from empowering guest speakers such as Jerry McPherson, executive director at the Governor’s office of African-American Affairs, Dr. Matthew C. Whitaker executive director at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center, and Pastor Terry E. Mackey.
A big thank you to our Head Chef Chris Hoffman for making a delicious and special breakfast. Thank you to everyone in attendance. We were grateful to welcome you to our campus to reflect, celebrate, and connect with one another.

A huge thank you to MicroAge for their partnership and generosity!
Their team recently volunteered at our Watkins campus, serving dinner to families in our NextPhase Family Dining Room, spending time with children in our Dream Center, and bringing compassion and kindness to everyone they met.
On top of volunteering, MicroAge organized an employee donation drive, collecting essential toiletries for our neighbors in need. Their support helped provide individuals with the opportunity to choose the items that best fit their needs, preserving dignity and choice.
Help us thank the MicroAge team by dropping a 💚in the comments!

We know Arizona temperatures can become frightening during the summer but for many of our most vulnerable neighbors, the fear of running out of water is a reality.
That’s why, all month long, we’re partnering with ABC15 Arizona , Bashas' Supermarkets, Food City , and AJ's Fine Foods to collect bottled water and help ensure no one has to experience the fear of their last sip.
Together, we can make sure our neighbors stay safe, hydrated, and out of the heat.
Your donation provides:
💧$10 = 58 bottles of water
💧$20 = 116 bottles of water
💧$50 = 290 bottles of water
💧$100 = 580 bottles of water
We can use your help to save lives this summer! Donate today to the ABC15 Water Drive through this link:

Holly and Lenny packed everything they owned into their car and set out in search of a fresh start in Arizona with their dog Max. But after a series of unexpected setbacks, they found themselves stranded in the Arizona heat, forced to live out of their car, which was their only shield from extreme temperatures.
Today, their story looks very different.
