Driven by the belief that knowledge can reshape a future, Deviere Waye found his path through the Registered Apprenticeship Program at DP Electric. What began as a desire to master his craft became a journey he describes as profound, challenging, and rewarding.

Through hands‑on training and instructors who truly invest in their students, Deviere discovered that the electrical field is more than a career; it’s a branching tree of opportunity. Today, he takes pride in mentoring the next generation of electricians, calling it one of the most meaningful parts of his work.

Arizona continues to expand these opportunities, adding 75 new apprenticeship pathways across 15 industries last year alone. For anyone ready to build a new future, the door is open.

Deviere’s advice to future applicants: ā€œIt requires a committed, organized, and proactive approach.ā€

Beyond the job, he’s a devoted family man, a poet, and someone determined to build a legacy rooted in positivity. His dreams, financial freedom, world travel, and becoming ā€œlegendary in a positive way,ā€ reflect the same drive that brought him to DP Electric.

Bryant Farrow is a true example of the student becoming the teacher. Once an apprentice with Tuscon Electric Power () (TEP), he has now come full circle, graduating from the program and returning as a trainer for TEP’s Registered Apprenticeship Program. šŸ’”

After rotating through several departments, Bryant discovered his passion for Electronic Communications and earned a spot as a pre‑apprentice. That opportunity laid the foundation for a career built on curiosity, adaptability, and hands‑on learning.

Bryant credits his growth to the journeymen who trained him and the challenges that pushed him to become a stronger technician. ā€œThe equipment and communication protocols and methods are changing all of the time. This requires us to be extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and adaptable,ā€ he explains. ā€œIt’s never boring because of this.ā€

He believes apprenticeships are underutilized and should be expanded across industries to improve training, increase opportunities, and strengthen work quality. For Bryant, apprenticeship and mentorship create structured, accountable pathways that benefit both workers and employers.

Outside of work, Bryant is an adventurer, traveling to Italy, Greece, the Caribbean, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and more. He enjoys scuba diving, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and spending time with his wife and daughter while preparing to begin his master’s degree.

His advice to future apprentices: ā€œOwn your apprenticeship… seek out what you need.ā€
