Celebrate the first day of summer by making a difference for wildlife — support our water-hauling efforts! 💧💧

AZGFD maintains 3,000 wildlife waters across Arizona, and keeping them filled costs more than $1 million every year. Wildlife depends on these waters to survive the hot summer months, especially during Arizona's long-term drought.

Will you help us ensure Arizona's wildlife has lifesaving water this summer? Donate now at sendwater.org.

For National American Eagle Day, did you know there are 117 known bald eagle breeding areas throughout Arizona? 🦅 🇺🇸 Yet discarded fishing lines can entangle and injure young eaglets, threatening their lives.

By picking up fishing lines, using the proper test of fishing line to avoid breakage, and following AZGFD's guidance for closed nesting areas, you can help our country's national bird soar to new heights in Arizona!

Good news for Arizona's deer and elk! 🦌 Our state continues to be free of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), a fatal wildlife disease that affects the nervous system of deer and elk.

We could not have done this without the help of hunters and the samples they submitted during the 2025 hunt seasons. Read more about our yearly tracking of CWD: https://bit.ly/4etu5Di.
