📋 Annual hose and ladder testing day.
Once a year, every single fire hose get tested and checked for leaks, damage or any other conditions that would make it unsafe to use. Also our ground ladders get non-destructive testing performed on them to make sure they are in safe and working order for the next task! Equipment checks are imperative to public safety and firefighter safety. This is why we thank you for your continued support to allow us to better serve you and maintain our equipment!🚒💪

Today we pause to remember the heroes of D-Day.

On June 6, 1944, thousands of brave American, British, Canadian, and Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most significant military operations in history. Facing overwhelming odds, they fought through enemy fire, sacrificing everything to secure freedom for future generations.

The courage displayed on those beaches and throughout Europe serves as a lasting reminder that liberty is never free. It is earned and preserved by the selfless actions of those willing to stand against tyranny and defend what is right.

As we reflect on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, let us honor the men who landed at Normandy, remember those who never returned home, and express our deepest gratitude to all who have worn our nation’s uniform.

May we never forget their sacrifice, their courage, and the price they paid for freedom.

God Bless our veterans, our active-duty military and the United States of America.

Extrication training 6/2/2026

Photos from Plantersville Stoneham VFD's post 06/03/2026

Last night as the stormy weather rolled through, members from both Todd Mission Volunteer Fire and our department bonded together through hard work, dedication, and a lot of sweat to complete a vehicle extrication scenario. Members were able to put their training and equipment to the test in our mock scene to better serve the citizens of southern Grimes County. Big thank you to everyone who was involved in making this scenario a big success and as realistic as possible!
