Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and a reminder of the long journey our nation has taken toward fulfilling the promise that all people are created equal.

Today, we honor the strength, perseverance, and contributions of generations of Americans whose sacrifices helped move our country closer to its highest ideals. We reflect on our history not only to remember the past, but to inspire us to continue building communities where justice, opportunity, and respect are available to all.

As we commemorate Juneteenth, let us celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the progress we have made, and our shared commitment to a brighter future.

Happy Juneteenth from the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.

Today, the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office was honored to participate in the Honor-A-Vet ceremony in Beekman recognizing Philip A. Bauer Sr. for his service to our nation during World War II.

Born in Poughkeepsie and a lifelong member of the Pawling community, Philip Bauer answered the call to serve during one of the most critical moments in our nation's history. As part of the generation that helped secure freedom around the world, his service and sacrifice continue to serve as an inspiration to us all.

We were proud to join family, friends, fellow veterans, and community leaders in honoring Mr. Bauer’s remarkable legacy and expressing our gratitude for his contributions to both our country and our community.

On behalf of District Attorney Anthony Parisi and the entire Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, thank you, Philip Bauer, for your service and for the example you have set for generations of Americans.

Another great day at an Office for the Aging Senior Picnic!

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office was proud to join our seniors for an afternoon of food, fun, and community. Deputy Unit Chief Viviano even showed off some impressive dancing skills while sharing a dance with the always delightful Sweet Caroline, proving that public service sometimes includes a turn on the dance floor.

These events are a wonderful opportunity to connect with the residents we serve, celebrate our senior community, and enjoy the friendships that make Dutchess County such a special place to call home.

Thank you to the Dutchess County Office for the Aging for another fantastic event and for all they do to support our seniors throughout the year.

Yesterday, the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office was proud to partner with the Dutchess County Office for the Aging and SilverShield to help protect our seniors from scams, fraud, and financial exploitation.

Representatives from the District Attorney’s Office participated in this important community program to provide information on current scam trends, prevention strategies, and resources available to victims. Dutchess County residents age 60+ can also learn about free access to SilverShield, a powerful tool that helps identify and report scams.

Protect yourself. Stay informed. Help us stop scammers before they strike.
