Our Experiment Station was proud to take part in the Official State Fair of Nevada on June 12 at the Made in Nevada Farmers Market, showcasing Nevada products and connecting directly with the community!

• The Desert Farming Initiative had flower seedlings and connected with the public about the hands-on training, applied research and student learning opportunities they offer
• Wolf Pack Meats showcased three flavors of locally produced jerky made from beef raised right here in Reno on our University farm.
• Great Basin Research & Extension Center featured its line of silver and blue Rafter 7 apparel, made from some of the softest wool in the nation.

We look forward to returning next year and continuing to support Nevada agriculture through outreach, education and research happening across our Experiment Station unit and programs.

Trading summer break for hands-on learning in agriculture University of Nevada, Reno's Desert Farming Initiative is hosting its summer farm crew, where interns will gain hands-on experience in Northern Nevada agriculture

It’s already been four weeks since commencement, but we’re still celebrating the creativity and accomplishment captured in every graduation cap!

Each design tells a story of dedication, persistence and the journey it took to get across the finish line.
