Commissioner Dexter L. McCoy has released the following statement regarding recent developments surrounding the Interim County Judge position. In his statement, Commissioner McCoy calls for adherence to the rule of law, respect for the legal process, and a continued commitment to transparency and accountability in Fort Bend County government.

As Fort Bend County continues to grow, Commissioner McCoy believes residents deserve leadership that operates with integrity, follows the law, and remains focused on serving the public. He remains committed to working alongside his colleagues to deliver high quality county services, strengthen public trust, and ensure that the needs of Fort Bend County residents always come before politics.

Today, Commissioner McCoy had the opportunity to speak at The Commissioner’s Report hosted by Fort Bend Regional Partnership. This event was a unique opportunity for each Fort Bend County Commissioner to come together and discuss topics such as drainage, growth, infrastructure projects, and the future of the county. It was a collaborative afternoon filled with exciting ideas and updates about the future of our rapidly growing county.

This important occasion serves as a reminder of the strength, perseverance, and courage of those who endured unimaginable hardships while continuing to fight for freedom and equality.

As we celebrate this historic day, we recognize the resilience of generations whose sacrifices helped pave the way for progress and opportunity. Juneteenth is not only a time to reflect on the past, but also an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements, contributions, and cultural heritage that continue to enrich our communities and strengthen our future.

Please join us in welcoming our 2026 Youth Employment Program (YEP) interns to Fort Bend County Precinct 4!

This summer, these students will gain hands-on experience in local government, learn how county operations serve residents, and develop professional skills that will help prepare them for future careers. Through real-world projects and mentorship, they’ll gain valuable insight into public service and the day-to-day work that keeps our community moving forward.

We’re proud to invest in the next generation of leaders and look forward to seeing all they accomplish during their time with Precinct 4.

Calling all Mission Bend residents! Alongside our office, Citizens for Road Safety is hosting a virtual town hall meeting on June 29th at 7pm to discuss the results of surveys and studies of problematic intersections throughout Mission Bend.

We will also be listening to feedback about how residents feel walking and cycling on the roads in Mission Bend.

Residents of RiverPark West gathered for their latest Homeowners Association meeting, where Commissioner Dexter L. McCoy and the Fort Bend County Precinct 4 team joined the conversation to provide updates and hear directly from community members.
