This afternoon A-Shift conducted a multi-company vent, enter, search (VES) drill at Station 1.

The VES training exercise is designed for firefighters to practice entering burning buildings through windows to quickly locate and rescue trapped victims.

This particular evolution was designed and supervised by Lieutenant Paxton Densmore as part of his Battalion Chief ride-up packet.

Your Richmond Firefighters are dedicated to continual training and preparation for high performance in real-world scenarios. When you need us, we’ll be there!
