The goal and mission of the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy is to provide innovative training as the need is identified on a continuing basis. "Hands On" training coupled with post tests have become an integral part of our course planning and presentation. Evaluations and reviews convince us that we must continue this trend in law enforcement training. The Academy has gained the reputation of being one of the finest small Academies in the State. The original facility was completed and occupied in February of 1986. The voters of Fort Bend County authorized the development of a state of the art training facility, which opened on October 6, 2009. This new building provides the staff and students access to a suitable training environment.
