During the June 9 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 budget, including increased teacher compensation and raises for district employees.

The approved budget includes:

📚 Teacher starting salary increased to $68,900
📈 $2,200 increase from the 2025-2026 school year
👏 3% raise for all other district employees

These investments reflect Lamar CISD's commitment to Excellence, Accountability, and Big Thinking as we continue attracting and retaining exceptional employees to serve our growing community.

The school year may be over, but the work continues! Our Social Studies team is deep in planning for 2026-2027, creating engaging lessons, meaningful learning experiences, and opportunities for every student to succeed. The best year yet is already in the works!

We wrapped up our year with an amazing time at conFUNcation and a lunch with plans for next year.

Our overall 25-26 Progress Learning Green Dot Challenge Champions were awarded for their outstanding performance for the year! Way to go Longhorns!
