Last night RDC hosted four of the judges running in Queens county for Civil Court judge!

Edward Irizarry and Edmund Wong will be on the **primary ballot** on June 23!

Michelle McSweeney-Ortiz and Jasmine Valle-Bueno will be on the general election ballot in **November!***

RDC also held our elections last night and everyone was elected unanimously, and every resolution passed! One of those resolutions was to choose a new day of the week to hold our meetings, which is great news! No more Friday meetings!!!

Good luck to the judges! Early voting starts today!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

While cleaning up the upstairs we found these Women’s RDC cards! But our resident historian was surprised to see these because the story goes that RDC’s charter was written before women got the right to vote and so included the words “any registered voter,” meaning the club automatically became co-ed when the 19th Amendment passed! We will have to do some more research to see if these cards were ever used or not!

The next time you are in the building check out all the work we’ve done upstairs! We plan to archive and catalog curiosities like these!
