Today we celebrate freedom, culture, strength, and the countless contributions of Black American communities throughout history and today. May we continue learning, listening, and building a more equitable future together.

Managerial & deep structural issues within Sheriff Chad Bianco’s department have led to scores of deaths in the Riverside County jail system over a number of years. Lack of oversight, accountability, and poor conditions in the Riverside County jail system show the need for an independent civilian oversight committee. We strongly recommend that Riverside County Board of Supervisors create a civilian oversight committee based on the findings of the Civil Grand Jury report and support the repeated asks of our community partners .

School is out and many families are struggling with rising food costs and, in some cases, are skipping meals. No family, child, or individual should have to go hungry.

There are many food banks, pantries, and distributors that need your help to sustain their operations due to the cost of inflation and rising demand for food assistance. Below are some organizations in the IE that you can help:

We spoke with Juan from the Inland Empire Amazon Teamsters Union earlier last month at May Day to hear his take on what matters to him and to Amazon Teamsters members.

Shout out to for leading the way for better worker rights. To support worker rights in the IE and if you know anyone that is a warehouse worker that would like to unionize, visit here: https://warehouseworkers.org/wwrc_campaigns/worker-power/

Thank you and for shining a light against the growing surveillance in San Bernardino. Residents want their taxes to fund safe roads, more green spaces, and lighting — not more spying cameras. The city needs to put the needs of residents over partnerships with big tech companies like Axon and Flock. Reach out to Brenda at 909-255-9539 to take action and stop the city from tracking our daily lives.

MAGA in the Inland Empire attempts to represent us, but really at heart they devise goals, strategies, and tactics that end up harming working class people. 😡

What has ICE/The Feds been up to in Ward 2 of San Bernardino?

Fruits of their labor 😡:

📌Street vendors in fear!
📌Parents and children scared of ICE abductions!
📌Hard working day laborers near Home Depot are out of work!!

Now Ward 2 might have to fear AI-powered surveillance cameras which may capture information and be weaponized against hard working community members!

Vote Christian Shaughnessy for Ward 2. It’s time for progress and it’s time for someone to step up for Ward 2. Vote by June 2nd!!
