3:30 PM June 23rd Radar Update- A cluster of strong thunderstorms is just north of Haskell and Throckmorton counties. Strong wind gusts of 60-70 mph are the main hazards with these storms (especially across the northern parts of those two counties) as they track to the east-southeast over the next hour.

Not much change in the forecast for the the rest of the week. Hot and dry conditions will persist into the weekend, with daily highs at or above 100 degrees across the Big Country and Concho Valley.

Monday Morning...its still hot and humid. Nothing has really changed for the forecast for today. High temperatures at or near 100 for many areas, with enough humidity that heat index values of 100-110 will be possible and a Heat Advisory remains in effect for much of the area.
Remember all your summer safety rules, don't lock your kids or pets in the car alone for even for a few minutes, drink plenty of water, and try to avoid strenuous physical activity outside during the heat of the day.

No, you're not seeing double, and there is nothing wrong with your computer or mobile device. There are now two Heat Advisories: One is in effect for the rest of today and the other is for Monday afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, it will continue to be hot through at least Tuesday.

After yesterday's relief from the heat, warm temperatures in the low to mid 90s are returning for today. Some isolated showers could occur over the northwest Hill Country this afternoon but nothing widespread is expected. Temperatures and heat indices for Fathers' Day will be around or above the triple digits again and this trend should continue into early next week.
*Time-Sensitive radar update at 1245 pm 06/19/26* Scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms continue across the southern Big Country along/south of I-20, along with eastern and southeastern parts of the area (east of a line from Winters to Eden to Junction). Although brief heavy rain is possible, rainfall rates are much lower than what occurred this morning. The flood and flash flood warnings have all expired, but those in Brown, Coleman, McCulloch and San Saba Counties should be aware of some lingering flooding of low-water crossings and in low-lying areas.
* Time-Sensitive Radar Update at 1025 AM 6/19/26: The area of thunderstorms with the heaviest rainfall and main flash flood concerns is moving east out of San Saba County. Other scattered showers and storms were occurring in Mason County, and in the Big Country south to a Robert Lee to Coleman to Brownwood line. These showers and storms have heavy rain and are slow-moving. Localized ponding of water on roads is expected. Minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas is possible, along with some street flooding in towns or cities where these occur.

An area of thunderstorms with very heavy rain and frequent lightning is moving east across San Saba Counties. A couple of LCRA gauges received more than 2 inches of hourly rainfall in McCulloch County between 840 AM & 940 AM: 2.18 inches at Rochelle 5 miles north-northwest, and 2.24 inches at Brady 11 miles east. *Also, hail of quarter to half-dollar size and wind gusts up to 60 mph possible just southeast of San Saba.
