Transitional tiny homes work. There are examples all over country. This is one of the housing models that Rock Rose will utilize. More importantly is the on site connection to resources from our partner agencies.
Ending homelessness in the Concho Valley can happenโฆand we need your help to do it.
Transitional tiny home project aims to serve veterans at risk of homelessness
Tiny home project at heart of existing infrastructure for veterans gives new chance to a site with a history of development failures.

San Angelo can be one of the cities that reduces homelessness too. Please support the Rock Rose Campus!
Big goals are being scored off the field. Across the country, communities are proving that homelessness is becoming rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
From Dallas to Denver, Tulsa to San Diego, local leaders, service providers, housing partners, and community members are putting points on the board by helping more people move indoors and reducing homelessness.
The work isn't finished. But these cities are showing what's possible when communities come together around housing, data, and results.
The biggest wins aren't happening on the field. They're happening in communities across America.

Studies have proven that the factor most effective in someone successfully exiting chronic homelessness is not a place to live, living sober, or a steady job.
Each of these things are incredibly important, but the leading contributor to someone successfully exiting homelessness is deep, meaningful relationships with people who have NOT experienced homelessness.
We're on the lookout for community builders and those ready to invest in friendships with our Neighbors as volunteers.

After years of planning alongside our community partners, weโre ready to share an important next step.
This isnโt something new we just dreamed up. This is the next step in work of over 30 partner agencies have been doing together for a long time.
You may be wondering what is the Rock Rose Campus? Partner agencies working together in one place to serve our communityโespecially our low-income neighbors.
The focus is simple:
* Health clinic access
* Workforce training and job readiness
* Addiction recovery
* Mental health and recovery support
* Food storage and distribution
* Housing and benefits navigation
* COAD (disaster response) operations and supply storage
- and so much more.
Right now, those services are scattered. This brings them together so people can get help fasterโand get back on their feet.
Yes, there is a housing component. But letโs be clear: the overwhelming focus is services.
There are really three parts to it.
โConcho Valleyโ - Thatโs who this is for. Not just San Angelo, but the whole region. Everything we do is about serving this part of Texasโour neighbors, our families, our workforce.
โRock Roseโ - The rock rose is a native plant here. It grows in tough conditions. Doesnโt need much. But itโs steadyโit shows up, and it lasts. Thatโs the idea behind the campus.
Weโre not building something flashy. Weโre building something thatโs rooted, durable, and built to lastโa place where people can find stability and grow from there.
And in a lot of ways, the rock rose is a visual metaphor for the people we serve. Theyโre resilient. Theyโve weathered hard seasons.
โCommunity Campusโ - This may be the most important part. This isnโt one program. Itโs not one organization. And itโs not just housing. Itโs a shared campus where 30+ partner agencies come together in one place.
So when you put it all together: Itโs a place rooted in the Concho Valley, built to stand strong, where the community comes together to do this work the right way.
* Transitional Housing is intentionally located on the northeast side, away from existing homes
* The southern 40+ acres are planned for future residential development, spearheaded by Galilee CDC.
* The property is being proposed for rezoning from heavy manufacturing to commercial and residential uses.
* Multiple green-spaces are planned to create an inviting neighborhood feel...dog parks, community gardens, outdoor exercise spaces.
This is about long-term alignment with where our community is headedโnot staying stuck in what that property used to be.

Whatโs taking shape here is bigger than a new office building.
This is about creating a community campusโa place where care, connection, and support come together in one shared space. Yes, CVCAA will be part of this. Our offices would relocate here.
But that is only one piece of the picture. In fact, CVCAA would occupy just a portion of one building. The larger vision is a campus designed around access, partnership, and service.
This space is being planned to include:
- A central intake point for community care
- A full health clinic
- Community meeting and gathering spaces
- Partner organizations just steps away across a shared pavilion
- Room to create unique, flexible spaces for both the community and our partners
That last part matters.
This campus is large enough to do something special.
To build spaces that respond to real needs.
To create opportunities we havenโt even imagined yet.
So start dreaming with us.
Because this isnโt about building something โfor CVCAA.โ Itโs about building something that works better for the people we serve.
Youโll also see that reflected in how the campus is designed:
- Solar energy to support long-term sustainability
- Thoughtful water use and harvesting in a desert environment
- Green space, shade structures, and outdoor gathering areas
- A place that feels welcoming the moment you arrive
All of it built with the future in mind.
As we look ahead, weโre grounded in where weโve been: continuing 60 years of service, and planning for the next 60.
This is not just a move. Itโs an opportunity to build a shared hub for care, connection, and collaboration. And when itโs done, it wonโt just be a collection of buildings.
It will be a place where people can come, find help, connect with others, and know they belong.

A place rebuilt for people, where care and connection meet.
Thatโs the heart of the Community Care & Connection Hub at Rock Rose.
This will be home to 30+ partner agencies working side by sideโno wrong doors, no sending people across town, no starting over. Just one place where people can walk in and get what they need.
A place where:
- A family can shop at the bodega and put food on the table
- A neighbor can sit under a covered space and take a breath
- A partner agency can step out of their office and work shoulder to shoulder with others
- And where care doesnโt feel scatteredโit feels connected
We learned a lot on July 4. We saw what happens when people come together fast, with purpose. This hub takes that same spirit and gives it a homeโevery day, not just in a crisis. Because community shouldnโt only show up in the worst moments.
It should be built into the everyday.
Now weโre asking you to help us build it.

If you believe in neighbors showing up for each otherโฆ
If you believe we can do better together

Rock Rose is more than a campus. It is the future home of Concho Valley Together COAD/LTRG and a permanent Resiliency Center for the work ahead. The work is built to strengthen disaster preparedness, coordinated response, and long-term recoveryโwhile giving our partners a real home to operate, train, and stay ready.
July 4 showed us what we can do when we move fast together. Speed matters in a disaster. Coordination matters even more in recovery.
Rock Rose takes that lesson and turns it into something permanent.
A place to pre-position supplies.
A place to train.
A place to coordinate.
A place that helps us move faster the next timeโbecause there will be a next time.
This becomes the backbone of readiness for the Concho Valley. More than 30 community partners are already part of this workโincluding the Red Cross and the agencies that stand up alongside the City of San Angelo and Tom Green County in emergency operations.
We moved fast on July 4. This makes us even faster.
Now we need your help to build it.
If you believe in a stronger, more prepared Concho Valley
If you believe we can do better next timeโฆ
If you believe community is what carries us through the worst days

What if we could take spaces once used for heavy manufacturingโฆ and reimagine them as places for people?
At the Rock Rose Community Campus, thatโs exactly what weโre working toward.
From an underutilized space between buildings
To a welcoming, vibrant central greenspace designed for the entire community.
This vision turns concrete and parking into purpose:
๐ฟ A shaded pavilion for gathering and connection
Walking and meditation paths for reflection and healing
Seating and green space for rest, conversation, and dignity
๐ฟ A childrenโs play area for families accessing services
Landscaped gardens that can include local outdoor art
A central entry point that feels welcoming, not intimidating
This isnโt just beautification...itโs about changing the experience of seeking help.
For many, Rock Rose will be the first stop in a time of crisis.
Instead of confusion and stress, we want people to arrive in a space that says:
โYou belong here.โ
โYou are welcome here.โ
โYou matter here.โ
It will also be a shared space for our 30+ partner agenciesโฆ a place to meet, collaborate, and serve our community together.
This is how we build something different.
Not just servicesโฆ but a community-centered campus.
A place where recovery begins with dignity.

Real change doesnโt come from one big moment. It comes from steady, faithful action.
Thatโs what a monthly ROCK ROSE donor does.
You show up. You make a difference. Every single month.
Think about one meal out. That one choice can turn into real support, real care, and real hope for our community.
Hereโs what monthly giving can look like:
$50/month ($600/year) โ about the cost of giving up one meal out each month - A simple and meaningful place to start.
$100/month ($1,200/year) โ about the cost of giving up two meals out each month - Helps create consistency month after month.
$250/month ($3,000/year) โ about the cost of one dinner out each week - Builds real momentum for the mission.
$500/month ($6,000/year) โ about the cost of a couple of meals out each week - Strengthens the foundation and creates room for growth.
$1,000/month ($12,000/year) โ about the cost of eating out on most workdays -Leadership giving that brings stability and capacity.
$2,500/month ($30,000/year) โ about the cost of two meals out every day - Helps sustain the mission with strength.
$5,000/month ($60,000/year) - A partnership gift that helps create lasting impact.
Every level matters.
Every monthly gift helps build something that lasts.

There are moments in a communityโs story where you can feel the window open. This is one of those moments.
Right now, over the next few months, we have a real opportunity to rally around the Rock Rose Campus. We can finish what we started. We can raise the remaining funds needed to secure the property and have it ready as an inclement weather shelter by this winter.
Let's say that plainly: if we come together now, we can save lives when it matters most.
This is a long overdue solution to a very real community problem. We all know it. Weโve seen it. And like any good team effortโthis only works if everyone leans in.
It will take all of us.
We also want to acknowledge something important. There are other great projects being fundraised for in our community right now. Good ones. Worthy ones. Projects that will bring energy, growth, and pride to our region.
And hereโs the truth: this is not an either/or conversation.
A healthy, thriving community does all of it.
We celebrate a vibrant arts scene.
We invest in sports and spaces that bring people together.
We support venuesโa colosseum, the rodeoโthat draw people in from the outside.
And we take care of our own.
Because right here at home, our low-income neighbors number in the thousands. Our ALICE familiesโasset limited, income constrained, employedโnumber in the tens of thousands. These are folks who are working hard and still one bad break away from crisis.
Taking care of them is not separate from what makes our community great. It is what makes our community great.
Rock Rose Campus is about dignity. Itโs about safety. Itโs about saying, โNo one in our community should face the worst conditions alone.โ
Now hereโs where we need your help.
Yesโdonating matters. It matters a lot. Every dollar moves this forward.
But sharing matters just as much.
There are people in this community who want to help. They just donโt know about this yet. You probably know a few of them. Folks in your network, your church, your workplace, your familyโpeople who would step up if they understood the need and the moment weโre in.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is making sure the right people hear the story.
So share this. Start a conversation. Bring someone else into the circle.
Thatโs how movements are built. Not one person swinging for the fences, but a whole team getting on base, one after another.
This is our moment to step up.
Every dollar counts.
Every share expands the reach.
Every person who engages becomes part of the solution.
If youโve been waiting for the right time to give, this is it. The window is openโbut it wonโt stay open forever.
Letโs come together and get this done.
