On June 5, 2026, the 802d Security Forces Squadron officially retired this phenomenal K-9 at JBSA-Lackland. We are incredibly grateful for his dedication to the Security Forces mission. Time to trade in the patrol routes for endless treats and belly rubs! Enjoy the couch life, Defender! 🛋️🦴

🚧 GATE CLOSURE REMINDER - JBSA-RANDOLPH 🚧

Please be advised that the Lindsey Gate at JBSA-Randolph will be temporarily closed on Saturday, June 13, from approximately 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. This brief closure is necessary for our teams to safely conduct scheduled barrier maintenance.

To help minimize traffic disruptions, Security Forces will open the West Gate for base access during these hours. The VCC will also be open for day passes.

Please plan your commute accordingly and allow for a little extra travel time. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

Honorable Michael Borders, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy, Installations and Environment, visited Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, June 4-5, to get a firsthand look at the people, facilities and infrastructure that power the Air Force’s Basic Military Training mission.
