Hate speech has no place in Military City USA. I support cancelling the Ye concert.

Our Spurs played their hearts out this season, and our City came alive cheering them on. A young team, they defied expectations, and San Antonio couldn’t be prouder. Looking forward to coming back even stronger next season. Go Spurs Go!

Since 1987, the National Conference on Social Work & HIV/AIDS has united HIV social work professionals dedicated to exchanging knowledge, inspiring change, and strengthening the future of HIV social work. Their work is more important than ever as cities face federal funding cuts for testing and overall attacks on LGBTQ+ health care. As an institution that has led groundbreaking work for over 40 years, I was grateful to welcome their 38th National Conference to San Antonio.

Grateful to join San Antonio community leaders in saluting Hon. Henry Cisneros as Morgan’s 2026 Visionary Honoree.

Secretary Cisneros has spent a lifetime expanding opportunity, strengthening cities, and opening doors for future generations. His leadership continues to inspire San Antonio and the nation.

Congrats to Gordon Hartman and the extraordinary work of Morgan’s, whose commitment to inclusion and dignity has transformed countless lives and made San Antonio a national model for accessibility and compassion.

From ensuring San Antonio has safe drinking water and that our toilets can flush, to protecting our bond rating, to avoiding potentially costly fines should our water infrastructure fail to meet code, we must invest in the water infrastructure our City needs. Failing to do so would be costlier in the long run, while potentially inviting costly and dangerous public health and public safety risks. Corpus Christi’s current water challenges and degraded bond rating, as a result, show us the risk of inaction. I fully support SAWS’ request for a rate increase, a request that has been validated by our City’s own Public Utilities staff.

Thanks to our neighbors who joined me for my monthly Mayoral Town Hall, this time in District 8. Special thanks to District 8 Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez for joining, as we discussed updates from City Hall, and answered questions on issues like the upcoming bond, code enforcement, and necessary SAWS infrastructure investments to keep our water flowing and safe.

Reports of Spurs fans being harassed and attacked in New York last night are deeply troubling. You traveled to cheer on your team, and you deserve to come home safely.

To our fans in New York, walk in groups, stay aware, and look after one another.

Violence has no place in this game. Basketball is about community, and San Antonio's community doesn't stop at our city limits.

Stay safe, San Antonio.
