Mayfair Community Center - City of San José

Today is the first day of Summer Teen Center 2026! Summer Teen Center is a drop in program that runs June 15th - August 7th, Monday - Friday from 12:30 - 4:30pm. Weekly field trips are also hosted throughout the summer, with the full field trip schedule included in this post. Summer Teen Center is a great opportunity for your teen to get out of the house and socialize in a cool setting on warm summer days. We hope to see your teen drop by this summer!

[Espanol] ¡Hoy es el primer día del Centro de Verano para Adolescentes 2026! El Centro de Verano para Adolescentes es un programa de participación libre que se lleva a cabo del 15 de junio al 7 de agosto, de lunes a viernes, de 12:30 p. m. a 4:30 p. m.
También se organizarán excursiones semanales durante todo el verano. El calendario completo de excursiones está incluido en esta publicación. SNP runs M-F from 11am - 12:30pm and is a completely free program for residents of Santa Clara County that are 60 or older. No reservation needed! Feel free to stop by after your morning activities for a hearty meal and a fun social hour.

The Mayfair Splash Pad is officially open for summer and will remain open until September 4, 2026! It will be open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday - Friday. It will also be open on Saturdays from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. starting June 20th until August 8th. Stay cool this summer with the Mayfair Splash Pad!

Estará abierta de lunes a viernes, de 8 a. m. a 6 p. m. También estará abierta los sábados de 1:30 a 4:30 p. m., desde el 20 de junio hasta el 8 de agosto. ¡Manténgase fresco este verano disfrutando de la zona de juegos acuáticos de Mayfair!

The Citywide Teen Sports League wrapped up its basketball season on Friday, May 22nd with our Mayfair Teen Center team placing 1st in their division and 2nd overall in the league! We are extremely proud of our players and coaches hard work and dedication over the season.

We are open tomorrow 6/2 with extended hours for the Primary Election from 7am - 8pm! These extended hours are for the vote center ONLY, with our regular programming hours still being from 8am - 6pm.

Come join us for our FREE Summer Kick Off Event in collaboration with Mayfair NAC! The event will be on Friday, June 26th from 6 - 8:30pm. We will be hosting a free movie night (popcorn included), open swim in our swimming pool, patio games, and refreshments! Let's celebrate the start of summer together!

May Happenings at Mayfair!

Our Therapeutics Program has been busy this month with a chili night and a fun outing at Red Robin!

For our chili night, participants created a delectable chili dish with a spice level of their choosing.

For our May HIRLN outing, participants joined us at Red Robin for a fun, chill night out at one of their favorite burger joints!

We were busy this morning honoring Older Americans Month!
Today we hosted a women's workshop with Every Woman Counts to inform our Older Adults about Breast Cancer awareness and prevention.

We also held a mini resource fair today! We had 57 participants who joined us in the resource fair. A big thank you to the Alzheimer's Association, Department of Transportation, Kaiser Permanente , Source wise (HICAP), and SALA for joining us for the fair!

On Wednesday May 6th we held our Cinco de Mayo/Mother's Day Lunch + Dance for our beloved Older Adults! The event started off with free haircuts by Paul Mitchell students, then transitioned to a special lunch featuring birria tacos, and capped off with a festive dance. Huge shoutout to Mayfair NAC, SJPD, Mathson Elementary, Paul Mitchell, and DJ Johnny for supporting this event! Please enjoy these pictures and videos from the event.
