If your family uses CalFresh, be sure to get your fruits and veggies before June 30, as the program will pause at the end of the month. The program could return if more funds are approved in the state budget. If your family needs extra support, there are local resources to help with food and meals. Find resources in Santa Clara County through 211 Bay Area, Findhelp, Martha's Kitchen, and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. If you know someone who needs food resources, please share this post with them.

Dads give their children, little and grown-up, many gifts. Some of the greatest gifts are emotions and feelings that we can't display on a shelf: love, support, and life lessons that shape who we become. Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandpas, uncles, stepdads, and father figures out there! What does your dad or the father figure in your life mean to you? Let us know in the comments below! ❤️

What a joyful celebration! 🎉 Over 6,000 community members gathered at the African American Community Service Agency’s Juneteenth in the Streets Festival to celebrate freedom, honor Black culture, and pass traditions, stories, and community pride on to the next generation. FIRST 5 Santa Clara County was proud to celebrate alongside our grantee, where Potter the Otter shared books, high-fives, hugs, and even joined the drum circle! Thank you AACSA for hosting such an important event and creating memories with children and families on a day filled with connection, culture, and community. ❤️💛💚🖤

Math Can Be Fun—Even in Summer!
Even in summer, kids are discovering how fun learning can be—yes, even mathematics!
At our Josephine Guerrero Family Resource Center, young learners explored math through hands-on puzzles, games, and interactive challenges during a Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival. The room was filled with energy, curiosity, and excitement as kids stayed engaged and inspired to keep learning.
Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of learning—no matter the season.

From expanding workshop offerings to more families to managing a pop-up Family Resource Center, we celebrated our community partners at our last Learning Collaborative of the fiscal year. Staff at these community organizations were recognized for their efforts as they continuously support families with young children. Every day, these community partners in our Stronger Systems, Stronger Families Initiative keep families connected and help them get the essential resources and supplies they need. We are proud to work alongside every single agency as part of this initiative.

It was a joy to celebrate with early educators who have graduated from the myTeachstone program this year. These family child care teachers and assistants have developed their skills and are now even more prepared to create a lifelong impact. We are so proud of their hard work and know they will continue to inspire learning for our youngest learners every day. And a big thank you to Patty for her support in guiding these educators through this journey. If you're interested in taking part in Quality Matters next year, visit our website to learn more.
