Appreciate the intent of the MOU to end the war with Iran and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. But what’s the real deal, especially when it comes to restraints on Iran’s nuclear program, restrictions on its stockpiles of drones and missiles, sanctions relief, and constraints on its support for regional proxy groups? For over 100 days, and amid tens of billions dollars spent and 13 American lives lost, President Trump has proclaimed a deal with Iran on nearly 40 different occasions. It’s past time for Congressional involvement to restore transparency, to protect safety, and to finally ensure affordability for American working families.

Great to speak to those from Lions Clubs around the country willing to come back to our nation’s capital and advocate for public service and giving back to our communities. As co-chair of the Congressional Service Organization Caucus, I will continue to work across the aisle to support those who care for and serve our communities.

We mark the 14th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which legalizes those who were brought to this country at no fault of their own.
