Hola Mechistas! 🙌

As we reflect on the spring 2026 semester, we would like to thank everyone that came out and supported M.E.Ch.A through our events & meetings. 💕

Amidst all the hardships being faced in the world we hope to continue to provide a safe space for discussion, exchanging of ideas, and community building. ✊🏽

Thanks to everyone’s support, through enjoying food, activities, and performances at our Viva la Revolución event we fundraised $1,187.50 that have gone towards the World Food Program USA, and helped contribute towards relieving the Sudanese famine. 🫶

When we come together and build community we can make a positive impact on the world! 🌎

Thank you to all the lovely volunteers, board members, and other community members that helped put this event together behind the scenes. 🤩

Shoutout to our graduating M.E.Ch.A students as well, continue to make a difference and empower your communities! 🎓

Till next semester! ✨

Join M.E.Ch.A. for our Healing Circle y Platica where we will be holding space and discussing the effects of Machismo’s violence in our community, what we can do to heal our gente from it, and fight to stop these cycles of abuses from repeating themselves.

This healing circle and platica should serve as a space to share, support, lean on, and learn from each other as we navigate different spaces that allow machismo to run rampant. Women’s liberation does not just come from celebration, but rather from active participation in constructive conversations that we can grow from.

When: Wednesday, March 25th, from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Where: smith and carlos lawn

Bring blankets and snacks so we can share space on the lawn juntos!
We hope to see you there!
