The County of Santa Clara Recruitment Team had a wonderful time participating in the 45th Annual Juneteenth Festival this past Saturday!

We appreciated the opportunity to connect with community members, celebrate African American heritage and resilience, and share information about career opportunities with the County.

The County of Santa Clara Recruitment Team had an incredible time attending the 2026 Pride Celebration and LGBTQ+ Flag Raising Ceremony hosted by the Office of LGBTQ Affairs, the Santa Clara County Office of Education, Rainbow F.L.A.S.H, and the Q***r Hope Institute this past Friday!
It was a vibrant and inspiring event featuring community speakers, performances, Pride‑themed activities, a resource fair, and the heartwarming Lavender Graduation honoring LGBTQ+ high‑school graduates and their achievements. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with community members and celebrate inclusivity, visibility, and pride together.

We had an amazing time taking one of our County of Santa Clara Spring 2026 Career & Community Resource Expo winners on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of O’Connor Hospital! Kelli visited different departments, met incredible nursing managers, and learned about the many pathways and opportunities available in healthcare. From application tips to interview insights, it was an inspiring look at the amazing work happening every day. A HUGE thank you to the O’Connor team for welcoming Kelli so warmly!

Our 40-bed NICU offers total body cooling, neonatal transport, surgical care, a strong parent mental-health program, and a dedicated family-centered care team. You’ll partner with an experienced NICU Staff Developer to support education, practice innovation, and professional growth.

The Custody Bureau of the Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office runs a program that helps incarcerated people at the Main Jail and Elmwood Correctional Facility gain janitorial skills and experience that help them land employment upon release from custody.

The program was created by Graciela Landeros, a janitorial supervisor with the Restorative Services Division.

“If I can change the life of one person, then I have done my job,” Landeros said.
