🧠 They are highly intelligent and social, living in complex family groups where they communicate through facial expressions, vocalizations, and grooming.
As fascinating as they are, crab-eating macaques belong in the wild—not in our homes. Keeping primates as pets can lead to serious welfare issues for both animals and people. Their complex social, physical, and emotional needs simply cannot be met in a household environment.

Today, we celebrate this planet and the wildlife that helps keep it healthy, balanced and thriving.
One of the most important ways we can protect our environment is by keeping wildlife wild. Wild animals belong in their natural habitats, where they play essential roles in maintaining healthy ecosystems. From pollinating plants and dispersing seeds to controlling populations and supporting biodiversity, every species has a purpose.
When wild animals are taken from nature or bred to become exotic pets, both the animals and the environment suffer. Many people are unaware that even when raised by humans, wild animals retain their natural instincts and complex needs, which cannot be met in a home setting.
At Animal Tracks, we are committed to educating the public about responsible wildlife stewardship and providing lifelong care for rescued animals who can no longer live in the wild. We believe the future of conservation depends on respect, education and coexistence.
