As many of you already know, the weather down here in Savannah, Georgia this time of year can at times be unbearable. From the heat to the humidity, it's important to try and keep cool during these summer months - not only for us, but for our furry friends as well! 🐶🌡️☀️

To help this, some of CCAS's volunteers got together these past couple of weeks to set up and build some covers for our main two play yards!

These covers will help provide much needed shade for our pups, whether it's during play group sessions or on normal outings from the kennel. It took a lot of hard-work (and sweat!), but the results were all worth it. 😎

We wanted to thank these four volunteers ( Zac, John, April and Corey) for taking the time out of their busy weeks to prepare these for our pups. Not only are we thankful for all of your dedication, but our animals for sure are as well!

🎉We have some BIG news!!! 🎉

This past weekend at CCAS was quite a busy one. Why? That's because, in total from Friday to Sunday, seven dogs were adopted from our shelter. That's right - SEVEN! 💖 How incredible!!!

Below is a list of all of the dogs adopted this weekend (in order of picture placement).

We wanted to give a HUGE shout-out and thank you to all of the new forever families who took these sweet pups into their homes. You surely made a difference in these animals' lives - and for that, we are forever grateful! 🐶✨

Cheers to all seven of these incredible dogs! 🥂 We know you're all going to have an amazing time!!!

After lots of play time and walks, Jojo loves nothing more than to chill in the office with CCAS staff to cool off and relax. The treats aren't too bad either! 🦴🤣
