Chris Ahearn serves as the Director of Research & Trade Development for World Trade Center Savannah, where he works with international delegations, trade missions and global business relationships that connect Southeast Georgia to opportunities around the world.
Chris first discovered his interest in international relations while attending Georgia Southern University through Model United Nations and the university’s Irish Studies program, supported by the Center for Irish Research and Teaching (CIRT). Those experiences sparked a lifelong interest in global cultures and international business.
Today, Chris helps coordinate international visits, protocol and trade initiatives, including the TradeBridge program connecting Southeast Georgia and Southeast Ireland.
What Chris enjoys most about his role is meeting people from around the world and seeing global leaders take an interest in this region.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys traveling, riding his motorcycle and exploring local breweries and restaurants.
Fun fact: His walk-up song would be “The Fixer” by Pearl Jam. 🎸
