Also, we were able to have such a wonderful scene thanks to our presenting partners Seattle Parks and Recreation and Rainier Beach Community Center and Pool!

🤝Being in the community is OUR THING! ;)

Thank you to Wellspring Family Services for hosting us at their Family Resource Fair. These moments in the sun (and sometimes rain) are a perfect way for our staff to meet future participants right where they are and connect with our nonprofit neighbors.

Today we honor and celebrate Juneteenth.

This day marks when African slaves in Texas were told of their freedom... two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is a reminder of the resiliency of African Americas who endured capture, slavery, and eventually the progressed the fight for civil rights. It is important we don't forget these histories so they it won't happen again.

And, always, there is still more freedom to be fought for.

Thank you to the student-athletes of University of Washington, their mentors, and the folks from Premera Blue Cross for supporting our Behavioral Health Program!

Throughout the month of May, University of Washington student-athletes participated in a team-based challenge designed to promote everyday wellbeing – the REFRESHER Challenge. It focused on promoting habits like relationships, exercise, rest, and helping others. Athletes created and shared content that encouraged peers and fans to join in the challenge, prioritize their mental health, and reduce stigma.

At the conclusion of the challenge, Premera Blue Cross donated $1,000 to mental health organizations selected by each team, including National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Seattle, Asian Counseling and Referral Services (ACRS), and Atlantic Street Center.

Together, the REFRESHER Challenge shows how partnerships can go beyond visibility to drive meaningful change by empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and making mental health support more accessible for all.
