☀️ Summer solstice is here, as is another wave of warm temperatures. There remains a moderate risk of heat related illnesses for those sensitive to the heat Mon-Wed, so be sure to stay hydrated/take breaks! Onshore air returns second half of the week, and we'll chat later about a chance of precipitation to finish off the week! 🌧️

🌡️ We're tracking another warm start to next week (similar to this past Sunday and Monday). This time, Monday and Tuesday are expected to be the warmest days with widespread 80s and 90s, and moderate HeatRisk. Be prepared if you're planning to spend some time outdoors!

🌡️ While we're expecting a warm weekend & Monday (with moderate risk of heat impacts to those sensitive to the heat), onshore flow is expected to return late Monday night into Tuesday. All locations in western WA will see temperatures drop from Tuesday through the weekend.

With the warmest temperatures of the year so far coming to the Pacific Northwest this Sunday and Monday, the risk for heat-related illnesses greatly increases. Here's the forecast, and some helpful tips to beat the heat:

Heat can be very taxing on the body - check these tips to keep you and your family (even little ones and pets) safe! You can find more at https://www.weather.gov/safety/heat

You may think to jump in nearby water to beat the heat, but the water is still very cold. If you're planning on getting in the water, always wear a life vest and slowly acclimate when getting in the water to stay safe.

Quite the stunner this morning from the office! Sun will be hard to fine today as a front moves through with showers across the region. There's also a 20% chance of thunder in the north Cascades this afternoon.

Temps will warm up into the 80s across the interior lowlands on Tuesday. A few spots could even get close to 90°. Widespread areas of Moderate HeatRisk will be possible away from water for areas south of Everett. Planning to be outside? Make sure to hydrate & take breaks.

Temperatures will warm up across the area through Tuesday, however the water temperatures across western Washington remain cold! Make sure to always wear a life jacket in & around the water. Keep a close eye on children & pets near the water as well.

A chilly start this morning, with temperatures starting in the upper 30s in some spots as of 5 AM! Temps will warm up quickly; sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s today. A warming trend continues into the start of the week, with 80s on the horizon for Tuesday.

8:25 AM Radar Update: We’re currently post-cold front this morning, with a few areas of showers moving through. A convergence zone this afternoon will keep the showers going in the Puget Sound, lingering into this evening. Much cooler today with highs around 60.
