Sound Generations’ offices are closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in American history—the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in 1865. On this day, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, bringing the news of freedom to the last enslaved individuals more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth not only honors the end of slavery but also recognizes the enduring contributions and resilience of African American communities.

Happy Juneteenth from Sound Generations to you!
